HFS’s commitment to your privacy.

This privacy policy tells you the ways in which HFS collects personal information about you when you engage with HFS and what the information may be used for. Information we may hold about you and how we get it. We may collect personal information from you when you engage with HFS. This may be collected by digital or paper forms, social media, telephone conversations, email or by face to face interactions. It includes (but is not limited to):

a) Signing up to receive our e-newsletter
b) Taking part in our training or short courses
c) Registering for an event
d) Completing a survey
e) Joining us as a member
f) Making a donation
g) Applying for a job or voluntary position

This information may include name, organisation, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, age, skills and payment details.

How do we use your information?

We will make sure that any personal information that you give to us is kept secure, accurate and up to date, and only keep it for as long as it is needed and only for the purposes for which you have agreed we can use it. You can ask us to remove any personal information about you at any time. We may use your information to contact you about:

3rd party software

Our newsletter subscriptions are processed by Mailchimp. Some of our events are organised using Eventbrite. Our surveys are processed with Limesurvey.


The HFS website uses Google Analytics to find out how people use our website in order to make improvements. Google Analytics uses cookies, small text files which are placed on your hard drive to store information, however the cookies do not have access to or use any personally identifiable information.

Sale/exploitation of personal information by third parties

We will not sell, rent, distribute or otherwise make your personal information available to any third party.

Data security

No data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We will try to protect such information but we cannot ensure the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. Once any personal information comes into our possession, we will take reasonable steps and all other precautions required by law to protect that information from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

If you would like a copy of your personal information please write to the Privacy Compliance Officer, Glasgow Homelessness Network, Unit 16a, Adelphi Centre 12 Commercial Road Glasgow G5 0PQ, stating your full name and providing us with sufficient information to verify your identity. Please note an access fee may be charged to cover our reasonable costs of providing the information to you.
